Finally getting back to my blog .

I don't know how many of you feel as I do. It seems there just isn't enough time in a day to do the things I love doing. We had a wedding in our family last Saturday. My son, Matthew, married a lovely girl named Lynda. It was a wonderful wedding and everyone enjoyed it. I'll post some pictures ASAP.... you just have to see the wedding cake. They had a pirate theme and it come off very well. The tables were lovely with treasure chests dripping with "jewels" and coins .
I get to relax this weekend and next weekend we have another wedding. Our daughter is getting married ........oh my ! What were they thinking !!!!!!!! Then maybe I can get back to running my business and making some Halloween things. One of my favorite times to decorate is Halloween. Oh and I have been painting some little tea shirts ....gotta see them , so cute !

Fun Things For The New Year

Now that the new year has started, I thought I'd let you know what I have been planning for the 2011. I think I'm going through my second childhood because I am revisting an old passion, Dolls ! I have always loved them and I got to thinking of some of my old playmates. Most of which are long gone but I do have some special ladies that have stood the test of time with me. I also love making their clothes so I will be making some new outfits for them and others that I have recently bought and may share them with you as time goes by. Do any of you have some favorite dolls that you couldn't part with ? Feel free to share them with us. Right now I'm collecting the Ginny doll . I am also looking for a little Miss Revlon, she is a little pricey so it may be awhile before I can find one in nice condition. Being long out of touch with the doll world I recentley discovered the American Girl and am waiting for her to be delivered :) She looks like a fun size to create clothing for .
I have also been making soap for my shop and have my Valentine soaps made which is lightly scented Lilac ...mmmm yummy .I will post pictures.
Lastly I have been making earrings for valentines too . I am not giving up my paper crafts and painting I just needed to mix it up a little .
I have been wondering if any of you have new things in the offering and what they are ? Wouldn't it be fn to share your ideas with us ? Please feel free to tell us what your interests are lately .
Enjoy the winter months and keep on creating it's good for the soul.

Soon it will be Christmas

With Christmas soon upon us . I thought I'd share some of my favorite painted ornaments for this years trees. I love the little snowball people they just make you smile as you work to make more friends for them. Although my favorites have to be the scenes on four inch balls . The snow people have sold well in the shop, the scenery ornaments are just to expensive for this area so I will be selling them on line in the near future . I believe that will be my new venture for this year, opening an esty shop ! I have to broaden my horizions in order to be successful . I would love your input on the things I do and the plans I have for the future .
Here is to a Very Merry Christmas to you and yours may it be warm and loving.

Retreat

We were so lucky to be invited attend our daughters and her husbands 25th anniversary which was held at the Pa. Allegany State Park. They rented these cute little cabins for their guests. It has been years since we have gone camping and the cabin was homey and warm. I of course had my supply of stamps, journal and supplies and crafted one cool night. The food was plentyful and yummy! A wonderful time was had by all.
